CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT:
"Slap That Sausage" is an augmented reality game designed to transform the customer waiting experience at Tokyo Style Food Truck. Aimed at engaging patrons in a fun and interactive manner, the game leverages AR technology to bring a kawaii hot dog character to life.
By simply scanning a QR code and aiming their device at a designated sign, customers can tap the hot dog as quickly as possible to earn rewards like discounts and free appetizers.
This project was a unique opportunity to blend digital interactivity with real-world incentives, creating a memorable experience that not only entertains but also drives customer loyalty for Tokyo Style Food Truck's Japanese-style hot dog offerings.

Facing the challenge of engaging Tokyo Style Food Truck's unique otaku customer base, the goal was clear: innovate.
"Slap That Sausage" was conceived as a playful AR game, spotlighting the truck's hot dog specialty. Designed to entertain those in line and incentivize purchases, this AR experience was tailored for high-traffic events like E3 and Anime Expo.
The overarching objective? Differentiate Tokyo Style Food Truck from competitors and drive sales through a novel, interactive experience.
Role:
As the creative mind and developer behind "Slap That Sausage", my role was multifaceted. I conceptualized the initial idea, designed key game assets including the image target, and developed the AR capabilities using SparkAR. I also collaborated closely with an outsourced designer to ensure brand consistency for the anime-inspired hot dogs.
My comprehensive approach aimed to entertain and engage Tokyo Style Food Truck's target audience, particularly at events celebrating otaku culture, setting the food truck apart from competitors.

While I didn't directly design these delightful anime-inspired hot dogs, I played a pivotal role in conceptualizing their unique style. Working closely with a talented designer, we ensured these designs perfectly encapsulated the Tokyo Style Food Truck brand, adding a touch of whimsy to their menu offerings.
